Contemporary Artist

inspired by nature

I'm a contemporary artist, inspired by the nature that surrounds me

I have been painting for as long as I can remember, drawn to the vibrant interplay of color as a way to give life to my creativity. Art has always been my meditation—a space where I can explore, experiment, and embrace new ideas.

"Heimat"

In my series "Heimat," I explore the deep connection to the landscapes that have shaped me—from the vast shores of Lake Constance, where I grew up, to the forests and mountains of my current home in Upper Bavaria. Each work is an invitation to not only see the familiar natural world but to truly feel its emotional texture.

Migration

The "Migrations" series explores identity and belonging through the flight of the White Stork. These intricate ink drawings depict the stork as a "citizen of the world." Reduced to calligraphic gestures, scattered like shadows against the light. There is no noise here, only the "fluidity of nature" expressed through the spontaneity of black ink.

Autumn Tempest - "Herbststurm"

This series explores the drama and beauty of fall through layered media. Beginning with expressive black ink, each work captures the restless energy of wind and storm.

Reveries - "Träumerei"

A collection that captures the fluidity of nature through bold, expressive gestures and dynamic contrasts. Each piece blends organic forms with abstract movements, evoking a dreamlike balance between chaos and harmony.

Floral Burst - "Blütenrausch"

This collection is a personal, energetic exploration of the fleeting beauty of the floral form. Each piece is an immediate response, capturing the moment a bloom unfurls or reaches its peak.

Shades of Grey

This series emerged from a deep exploration of nature’s essence, distilled into shades of black, white, and grey. Using graphite, charcoal, ink, and acrylic paint, I sought to capture the interplay between light and shadow, chaos and stillness.

Solo-Exhibition: Heimat

Geranienhaus - Schloss Nymphenburg, Munich
Sep 3rd - Sep 8th, 2026

What does “home” mean in a world of constant movement?
In her solo exhibition HEIMAT, Astrid explores the fragile balance between belonging and displacement. Through layered acrylics, delicate oil paintings, and ink, she transforms the intimate space of the Geranienhaus into a meditation on roots, memory, and the landscapes we carry within us.

Join her for the opening on 3 September, 6 PM – or visit during the exhibition to experience how art can make the invisible visible.
