"Art is making a thing, and then trying to make a better one,

and you keep doing this until you die, and that's a pretty good life."

Artist Statement

Art, to me, is freedom—an unbound space where self-expression flourishes without the constraints of perfection. It is one of the rare realms in life where comparison has no place, celebrating individuality instead. Every piece is a reflection of the artist’s unique perspective, a story told in a universal language that transcends borders.

Art has the power to inspire and connect, building bridges across cultures and fostering understanding in ways words often cannot. For me, creating is about exploring this boundless space, embracing imperfection, and celebrating the beauty of what makes us all unique.

Profile

I have been painting for as long as I can remember, drawn to the vibrant interplay of color as a way to give life to my creativity. Art has always been my meditation—a space where I can explore, experiment, and embrace new ideas.

Surrounded by nature, my inspiration comes from the beauty that envelops me. My studio in Riemerling Studios, near Munich, offers a view of the forest, while my commute is framed by the majestic Alps. For years, these mountains have found their way into my work, a nod to my upbringing by the serene Lake Constance, where the lake and peaks shaped my early love for the natural world.

Now based in Munich, I share my home with my husband and two wonderful cats, adopted from a shelter. My connection to nature extends into my art practice—I’ve recently begun making my own oil paints, immersing myself in the process to create something uniquely my own. Alongside oils, I’m exploring the fluidity of ink, always open to discovering new techniques and materials.

I’ve honed my skills through classes at Atelierprojekt e.V., and I’m embarking on an exciting new chapter, dedicating more time and space to my art. For me, each piece is not only a reflection of my surroundings but also a meditative journey of creativity and self-expression.
